Chinese pianist Yinqi Wang has rapidly established herself as one of the most compelling young musicians of her generation. Praised for performances that combine poetic imagination, refined sound and remarkable artistic maturity, she has appeared in major concert venues across China as well as in Germany, Poland, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Israel and Denmark.

As a concerto soloist, she has collaborated with renowned orchestras including the Salzburg Chamber Orchestra, the Wernigerode Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, and the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, earning widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike. In 2026, she appeared as a soloist with the State Philharmonic Orchestra Rheinland-Pfalz under the baton of George Pehlivanian.

Among her principal distinctions are the GRADUS Soloist Prize (Germany), First Prize and the Audience Award at the 3rd Zhuhai Mozart International Youth Music Week, Second Prize and the Best Mazurka Award at the 27th International Chopin Youth Piano Competition in Szafarnia, Poland, as well as First Prize in the Professional Concerto Category of the Shenzhen Piano Open Competition.

Alongside her concert career, Yinqi has participated in leading international festivals and academies including the International Summer Academy of the Mozarteum University Salzburg, the Virtuoso & Belcanto Music Festival in Lucca, and the Tianjin International Piano Art Festival. In 2025, she was invited to perform at the 41st Chopin Festival. Her artistic development has been shaped by close collaborations with distinguished pianists and pedagogues including Till Fellner, Andrzej Jasiński, Ewa Pobłocka, Bernd Goetzke, and Michel Béroff.

Her musicianship has received high praise from internationally respected artists. Anna Malikova has commended her for her "exceptional technical command" and her ability to shape music "with naturalness and emotional depth." Pavel Gililov has described her as "a musician of outstanding musicality with a brilliant future," while Ewa Kupiec has praised the elegance, purity and remarkable maturity of her Mozart interpretations.

Born in Hebei, China, in 2008, Yinqi began studying piano at the age of five with Professor Manchun Chen of the Central Conservatory of Music. She was admitted with top honours to the Central Conservatory of Music at the age of nine, where she studied with Professor Xiaohan Wang, before continuing her education at The Tianjin Juilliard School. At the age of fifteen, she was admitted to the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she currently studies with Professor Anna Malikova. In 2026, she was awarded the prestigious Anny Felbermayer Scholarship by the University in recognition of her outstanding artistic achievements.

Yinqi gave her debut solo recital in Beijing at the age of eleven and has since continued to present thoughtfully curated recital programmes. Alongside her performing career, she is deeply committed to community engagement, regularly bringing music to hospitals, nursing homes and charitable institutions. She is equally passionate about chamber music, viewing collaboration as an essential part of her artistic identity.

At the age of fifteen, Yinqi signed with the Spanish classical label KNS Classical, where she recorded and released her debut solo album to critical acclaim. As her international career continues to develop, she remains dedicated to exploring the piano repertoire with curiosity, integrity, and a deep commitment to artistic expression.
